The latest….

Last Weekend’s Paint In with Joyce Gutierrez was great fun!  A wonderful time spent painting daffodils, a perfect way to keep cool on a summer day.

September 17th will be our next program, featuring a festive christmas tree painted on a beveled glass ornament.  Lois Eckert will be our instructor.

September 24th through 26th will bring Wendy Young’s seminars which will allow participants to sculpt (and paint) the coolest characters!

October 30th (please note, this is a change in date)  is our Annual Art Show and Tea.  This year’s theme is a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

 

Join us for our March Program!

Monday Evening, March 21st is the next meeting of Penn’s Woods Painters.  We hope you’ll be able to join in the fun.  Joyce Gutierrez will be leading a program that will be transforming dominoes into jewelry.

A note from Mary

The MEMORY BOX PAINT-IN on Saturday was a wonderful day for Penn’s Woods Painters. We had 17 members come to paint, and I am especially proud because this was a gift from the heart. The end result of a day’s painting by these gals, was that all the boxes are being donated. Purely a selfless and beautiful act of kindness. Another reason why I love PWP.

I was so darn proud of my two pieces I could have danced. So a huge shout out to Carol Henry and Judy Vetock, for their hard work and professional presentations. The food was fabulous….and Debby Thorpe has volunteered to be our Hospitality chairperson. That will be a treat for our Chapter. Again, I am proud to be your President.  Mary Lank

2016 Memory Box Paint In

Due to popular demand…

Members who attended Saturday’s Memory Box Paint In raved about the salad that Judy Vetock brought.  Due to popular demand, here it is!

CPT JOANNA REAGAN’S RAINBOW SALAD

Vegetables Dressing
1 head broccoli 1/2 cup sugar
1 head cauliflower 1 tsp salt
2 cans mandarin oranges 2 tsp dry mustard
drained 1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup chopped walnuts or 1/2 cup Puritan oil
water chestnuts 2 T poppy seeds

Break broccoli & cauliflower into florets, add oranges and nuts. Mix dressing well & pour over vegetables.
